February 21 is International Mother Language Day
In November 1999, UNESCO declared February 21 as World Mother Language Day in memory of those who sacrificed their lives in Bangladesh for the protection of mother tongues and their mother tongues.
There are at least 1,500 languages currently spoken in the world that experts fear will disappear by the end of this century, as there will be no people left to speak them.
Endangered languages are generally colloquial and have no script. Their speakers are few and far between and their descendants prefer the prevailing languages to their mother tongue.
No one knows the exact number of languages spoken around the world, but according to experts, the number of officially recognized languages is around 7000, of which 1500 languages are on the verge of extinction.
Happy day to all human beings who are connected to their mother tongue (DNA language).
On this day, we should make a pledge that we will not only value this sign given to us by Allah Ta'ala, but we will also make every possible effort to maintain this sign.
